Suicide Bereavement Support
What can we offer?
- Up to 8 sessions
- Access: Self-referral, Police (RTS), GPs, NHS & VCSE partners.
- First Contact: Within 24–48 hrs by trained practitioner; trauma-informed, needs & risks assessed.
- Support: 1:1 wellbeing & safety planning, peer/group support, signposting to other services.
- Follow-Up: Regular check-ins, extra support at key dates, easy re-engagement within 12 months.
- 1:1 Support with a Bereavement Practitioner
Who can access the service?
- All age pathway for anyone bereaved by Suicide living in Swindon or Wiltshire.

How Can I Refer To Suicide Bereavement Support?
You can refer yourself directly, or be referred by the Police (RTS), your GP, NHS services, or our VCSE (Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise) partners.
Please provide as much information and detail as possible. This will enable to team to process the referral as quickly as possible.

We offer:

- Information and signposting to other helpful services and community resources
Will I receive follow-up support?
Yes. We provide regular check-ins and can offer extra support around key dates or anniversaries. You can also re-engage with the service at any time within 12 months without needing a new referral.
Is the service confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is treated in confidence, except where there are concerns about your safety or someone else’s. We’ll always explain this clearly during your first contact.
