What people ask about the most…
How is General Wellbeing different to General Counselling?
Our General Wellbeing team are wellbeing specialists rather than trained counsellors. The service focuses on supporting your mental wellbeing through the Five Ways to Wellbeing approach, using practical tools such as goal setting and coping strategies.
While there is space to talk about how you’re feeling, the main focus is on helping you build skills, set achievable goals, and make positive changes to improve your overall wellbeing.
Is the Service accessible?
Yes. Our service is delivered from a wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible location. If you have any specific access needs, please let us know when you get in touch so we can support you as fully as possible.
How are sessions delivered?
Your initial session will usually take place over the phone. This helps us understand your needs and what support would work best for you. After this, sessions can be arranged either face-to-face or over the phone, depending on your preference and what feels most comfortable for you.
How is the right support decided for me?
During your first session, we will take some time to understand your current situation, goals, and preferences. This helps us make sure you are offered the type of support, whether that’s one-to-one or group sessions, that is most suitable for you.
