Becoming a Neurodiverse Employer

Supporting inclusive recruitment from application to onboarding.

Overview

Learn how to create a neurodiverse-friendly workplace: throughout the recruitment process.

  • Inclusive Hiring Practices
  • Interview & Onboarding Tips
  • Support for Neurodivergent Employees

We are working with local employers to create more inclusive, accessible, and supportive workplaces for neurodivergent individuals, including autistic people.

This project brings together real experiences, practical guidance, and employer insight to help organisations better understand what neuroinclusion looks like in practice — from recruitment through to long-term career development.

At the heart of the project is our employer webinar and film, where local organisations share how they are building neurodiversity-friendly environments. This includes:

  • What inclusive recruitment processes can look like
  •  How to eVectively communicate and implement reasonable adjustments
  • Ways to support neurodivergent employees day-to-day
  • Creating person-centred approaches rather than one-size-fits-all solutions
  • Training and awareness to build understanding across teams
  • Measuring impact and learning from employee feedback

We also highlight the support available for individuals in higher education and employment,
alongside examples of local neuro-friendly employers leading the way.

Our aim is to reduce barriers, challenge stigma, and support employers to feel confident in creating workplaces where neurodivergent people can thrive.

Watch our film to hear directly from employers and learn practical steps you can take to become a more neuroinclusive organisation.
