About Us

Swindon Mind was originally founded in 1990, only recently becoming Swindon and Gloucestershire Mind in 2018, we are a registered charity and a limited company. We are a Local Mind Association (LMA) affiliated to National Mind though independent of it.

We receive no direct funding from National Mind and make our own decisions about the services we offer. As a registered charity we are managed by a group of trustees who volunteer their time to oversee and support the work of the organisation.

Self-Harmony Counselling

Self-Harmony @ Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind offers a 1:1 confidential and non-judgmental counselling service in a safe environment for people who self-harm and self-injure.

People self-harm and self-injure for a number of reasons and do so to cope with deep distress which cannot be articulated verbally. It might be a result of something they have done or had done to them or because of issues they cannot cope with, there is no rule of thumb.

For further information please call Swindon Mind on 01793 432031 and ask for Janey or Laura or Email us on: counselling@swindonmind.org
