We are seeking a Service Manager and Deputy Manager for our Alexandra Wellbeing House service.          

Overview of Role

Job Title:          Service Manager or Deputy Service Manager (click here for the job description) 
Hours:             32 hours per week.             
Salary:            £32,500 – £36,500 (FTE) per annum (pro rata)  
Alexandra Wellbeing House, Gloucestershire (GL1) 
Reports to:       Director, Quality & Policy or Service Manager

Background – Alexandra Wellbeing House offers a short-term retreat for up to six people per stay. People accessing the service are aged 18+ and are at risk of or are experiencing acute emotional distress associated with a mental health problem (whether formally diagnosed or not). 

Job Purpose – As Service Manager you will lead and manage the management and leadership team at Alexandra Wellbeing House. With guidance from the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure that the service is providing earlier intervention to those at risk of crisis and prevent the need for admission to an inpatient setting. You will collaborate closely with our partner, Gloucestershire Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust, alongside other statutory and third sector providers to strengthen effective referral pathways and partnerships to best support those who require access to our services.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Service Manager and Wellbeing Leads at Alexandra Wellbeing House. As Deputy Manager, you will be expected to deputise for the Service Manager as and when required by ensuring that the service is running efficiently and in line with the service specification. You will line manage the Wellbeing Leads to ensure that the service provides a nurturing and supportive environment whilst also providing personal and professional development.

Working Pattern – The service is open 365 days a year and operates with 24/7 coverage, therefore the successful candidate will be required to be available for on-call duties and some Bank Holidays. The successful candidates working during the ‘Day’ or ‘Eve’ period which ranges from 7:30AM to 3:30PM (Day) and 3PM to 11PM (Eve). For the Service Manager and Deputy Manager posts, the working periods would vary on a rota basis ensuring that you are able to collaborate closely with all staff across the Day & Eve working periods.
